Description

Surveys Hub is the integrated digital research infrastructure of the National Center for Social Research (EKKE), which enables EKKE researchers and third parties to conduct telephone, online, and face-to-face quantitative surveys, as well as surveys using mixed data collection methods with the use of online questionnaires. These surveys can be nationwide or local scoped.

Specialized software for CAI (Computer Assisted Interviewing) such as CAPI (Personal), CATI (Telephone) and CAWI (Web)

Hardware such as servers, desktop computers, laptops, monitors, tablets

Maps of building blocks in the country provided by the Hellenic Statistical Authority

Call Center

VoIP call center (Voice over Internet Protocol), which is a telephone system that uses the internet to transmit voice calls, instead of traditional telephone lines

Call Center Interviewers

15 positions for interviewers for telephone surveys, more than 50 positions for face-to-face surveys

Remote Interviewers

50 or more positions for face-to-face surveys

Web Panel

Web panel for conducting online surveys

Personnel

Experienced personnel such as data managers, field supervisors, interviewers, statisticians, IT experts

The creation of online questionnaires with complex routing and personalization rules

Maintaining data confidentiality in accordance with the GDPR

Monitoring Tools

The provision of tools for the continuous monitoring of the work of supervisors and interviewers, through a multitude of reports

Response Monitoring

The provision of tools for calculating the response rate of the survey based on international standards and monitoring its progress

The creation of the necessary weighting variables

Data analysis through statistical packages

Gender discrimination in multiple crises, conducted using mixed data collection methods (CAPI / CATI / CAWI)

Post-election - pre-election political behavior survey, also conducted using mixed data collection methods (CATI/CAWI). The pre-election surveys concerned the national elections of May 2023 and the local elections of May 2023, while the pre-election survey concerned the European elections of June 2024.

Hosting educational programs

At the educational seminar of the National Center for Social Research (EKKE) “Do Your Survey” sessions are organized to demonstrate the use of SurveysHub tools. The main textbook used in these training events is the freely accessible book entitled "Methods of data collection using electronic questionnaires and research methodology." (http://dx.doi.org/10.57713/kallipos-381), which describes the tools and methodologies used in the infrastructure.
